Essential technical operation
The hosting platform or security services may use essential technical information or short-lived storage needed to deliver, protect and operate the website. These functions are not used by Needhams to build advertising profiles.
Google Maps and your preference
The homepage, Areas and Contact pages can display an interactive Google map. Google Maps stays off until you choose “Allow Google Maps”. Once allowed, the real map loads automatically when you approach it on the page.
Loading the map connects your browser directly to Google. Google may receive your IP address and browser information and use cookies or other storage, including cookies already present in your browser. Google’s cookies can support functionality, analytics and advertising. Read how Google uses cookies and Google’s privacy policy.
We store your choice in your browser’s local storage for up to 180 days, under the name “needhams-google-maps-v1”. This record contains your map choice and its expiry date. It applies across this website on that browser and is used only to remember your preference. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page session.
You can change your choice at any time using “Map preferences” in the footer. Choosing “Keep maps off” removes embedded maps and prevents further map loading on this website. It does not delete cookies that Google has already stored; those can be managed in your browser settings. Contact details, coverage information and an external Google Maps link remain available when maps are off.
External contact links
If you choose a telephone, email or WhatsApp link, the relevant application or service may apply its own privacy and storage practices. Nothing is sent through those services until you take the relevant action.
Future changes
If analytics, embedded media or another feature requiring consent is added later, this page and the website’s controls will be updated before that feature is used.
